Halfway There

Halfway there; there is a decision to be made.
Half the price of the climb is paid.
Another half lies ahead.
Pulling oneself out of bed;
Looking up to find the light,
No end or beginning in sight.
Highs and lows have been overcome.
Highs enough to keep going, or just some?
Is the quaking looking on ahead?
To reach the goal, much is to be said.
Victory is sweet and there is no retreat.
Go on! Go on!
The decision is won.
