Half a Heart

I took you, you took me And we were bound in unity The vows we spoke Were full of hope For our new life, together The rings were placed Each other we faced Eyes filled with joyful tears Two hearts joined to one Through the good and the bad When all that we had Was each other Our love did not waver But time passed All too fast And it was time That stole you For at the end Death did us part And left me With half a heart
