soundless in soft snow

    stoat displays black tip of tail...

          all else- white on white

The stoat is a type of weasel. In winter his coat turns white ( ermine) except for the black tip of his tail.

Oh, Marg, you basically chose the same animal as I did. ARen't they adorable creatures? We have a lot in common!! Also you put a note at the bottom of YOUR haiku too. But I showed his evil side. heehee. (your haiku makes a lovely picture)
