                          Decorate the birch trees with Norwegian flags
                                         Norway's national day


                                      The nation's day of celebration
                              All dress with handmade national costumes
                                     Hooray for our country in freedom

"Hooray for our country in freedom" the words here denotes the love you have for your country. Love for your country, love for your Nation is as equal as love for your parents. Good thought. Nice haiku. Awoke me Hugs and love manel

I hope Anne Lise that you and yours have a happy Norweigan Day tomorrow. Peter PS: A councillor in a part of the region I was born objects to the flying of St. George's Cross, the flag of England, on this saint's day the 23rd. April, on public buildings because a section of the community might be offended when they are not offended! During the last Soccer World Cup an MP who happened to be a Muslim boasted that there were more England flags flown in his very multi-racial constituency than any other constituency in England!
