Haiku - Shmaiku

HAIKU - SHMAIKU

Seventeen moras
And kigo and kireji :
Who can figure it?

Never could get it -
Slap down unrelated words :
Meaningless meaning.

Call it poetry -
OK, maybe in Japan
But no way for me.

Keats would be rolling
In his grave if he saw me
Writing a haiku.

God forbid I should
Ever twist my English so,
So, I never would.
