ooooh I like this one, Donna! You really got the gist of that "a-ha" ending line :) And you started numbering them, too... haha. I haven't been on this site in over a year... and I see I've been missing out. Good to see how everyone is doing!

As was common among the Japanese, one's haiku often called for a response. More common with tanka but this is delightful and I will reply: pail full of berries / sits far behind on the path / along with the snake

Ahh!! Enjoyed reading this one today..I am glad that I chose it to read..I can remember going to try to pick a few wild blackberries or dewberries..Those cobblers were wonderful made from the berries..Sara
