Haiku

the mountain stream weeps

                     toxicology revealed

what have I become?

What a stirring question you ask here, Jimbo-- this reminds me so much of our own rivers here-- they are literally dying-- scary and sad thoughts-- and thank you for passing by my poems & for the fave :)--will check out WS Merwin's poems :) thanks -- & I know she's a very cool person & I'm sure things will be well between you 2-- I've had my fair share of debris myself, it's part of friendship, but we can rebuild it again and bridge gaps-- remember you both are wonderful persons :)

You took the contest to a knew level, giving us cause for introspection. The precious water that sustains us has become a victim of man's indifference and greed. Definitely a winner, Jimbo!! Love, Carolyn
