Nice personification here, Craig 😊 But for that reason I think it leans into being a senryu rather than haiku.

Thank you Su, but the Haiku Foundation would disagree---but then, that's why I avoid Haiku LOL--because there are way too many believed variations and interpretations--nothing in our poetic world has more of them. Yet (here we go again) it may slip more Senryu because of the human and somewhat humorous edge? 🤔

The whole 575 thing was a syllabic lost in translation misunderstanding - breaking those rules is required! Although I didn't expect to see a short form from yourself, but it's beautiful and poetic - which would never be in doubt :) lovely to see you today :)

I felt the sun’s flame, and now I’m blushing too, dear Craigsz! This is so beautiful! I love it when there’s a touch of personification in a haiku. I don’t know much about haiku myself, though I did write one recently. Yours is like a painting ~ so heartfelt and soul touching! Everything you write is so very evocative. Pleasure reading. As always Dear Inky, thank you, but I bow to those who have mastered Haiku - I stray from it, because it is a form I fear writing incorrectly---there are very few who do, but Paul Callus is a master - reflecting light back at you!
