Guth Is a God

In Ancient days names had definition
The Carpenters were of course Carpenters
Some names brought recognition

Jesus had many names, I know them well
Some called him the Son of God
But his mother used Emmanuel

Joseph Guth, My Father’s name
Not just German for Good, which was my claim

The Irish, the Germans use a word
Guth is for god, rather absurd

A royal noble name
I walk with each day
Just like you
Feet of clay

A god I am
What does that mean
I am not divine
And certainly not lean

It would be interesting to learn through geology how your family got that name. Good pen ... CayCay

Thanks... I think it was a name given to nobility. That's what I saw on Ancestry.com Before that, no clue.
