Guns Don'T Kill People

Guns Don’t Kill People

Guns Don’t kill people
People kill people with kindness
Guns are evil
Guns kill guns
Psychiatrist treat themselves to candy
Nothing else, since fire arms are inanimate
Don't respond well to therapy
Guns sneak up on one another in the night
They don’t use knives, poisons or potions
Train themselves on one another with their sights
With bullet certainty
To commit their crimes
Gun One waits for gun Two in the dark
Both stoked to pull the trigger
Just then, baby gun jumps into action
Although it is a little pistol
limited experience in lethal explosive force
It fires on them again and again
Both senior guns are dead but really dead
It is not an illusion
You can draw your own conclusions
Don’t jump to them
And do so in your head
Bang bang

But they do, Earl, they do! I have often been confronted by and threatened with solitary guns and marauding gangs of guns on city streets and in the countryside, lurking malignantly in shadow and strutting in midday sunshine, all just aching to steal the life from me and from all others around me!

Hi Leo, Thank you for your insightful observations. That is why guns should stay in gun communities and people should stay in people communities. (People might end up killing them with kindness.) I would hate to have a gun as a neighbor. They are too loud, make noise all the time and they don't control their little bullets, who destroy everything in sight. Have a great day. Earl
