Guns and Roses

GUNS AND ROSES

Another rain of bullets in the dead of winter.
A terrorist runs through like an Olympic sprinter.
Another candlelight vigil glows from the steeple.
And America loves her guns more than her people.

Hi Edlynn...lovely to have you around again:) I have not been that active on Soup either cos I've been busy; the acrostrain has not been judged yet! // The above poem hits the right notes. Love your comment: "we are being picked off like deer in open season". ~ Regards // paul

Thank you so much for your lovely visit and thoughtful words! Crazy busy and I usually hope to put on at least four poems a month. I have a ton of ideas on my drafting board but can't get it in gear. Yes the Acrostic has been judged. Good! Bless her heart I bet she had a ton of them with just four verses. I'm going to have to set and read for days when I get past this Dec. IRS audit!
