Guitar Jones

The car pulled up and someone got out
But it was not the person I'd been hearing about
So I got back in the car and started down the road
And I kept on searching for, Guitar Jones

He really loved to rock, wanted to be a Stone
But was called down to the Delta
And it felt like he'd come home
So I knew I was closer to finding, Guitar Jones

Why am I looking, what is it for?
But you know that feeling deep in your bones
You gotta keep looking, gotta keep searching for
 Guitar Jones

So the car keeps trucking on down the road
Looking for the home of, Guitar Jones
Well my tires went flat, then I ran out of gas
I thought this is it, I'm down to my last

So I pulled out my guitar, right beside the road
And I started calling out to, Guitar Jones
Where is he, how will I know?
I just kept playing my guitar for, Guitar Jones

Well it finally happened, I knew it in my bones
You know it was right there
 Right there beside the road
 I finally found, Guitar Jones
