Notes About The Poem

Presumed innocence is too old school for me. How about you?

Guilty Until Innocent

Guilty Until Innocent
By Franklin Price
10/8/2018

Guilty until innocent
From sea to shining sea
Congress should pass it right away
That's the way the law should be

Accusers with agendas
Should always have their way
Proof is not required
They're correct in all they say

Take the ones who are accused
Put them on the evening news
Label them without firm proof
It's about the guilty views

When accusations are in doubt
And holes are in the case
Create some more out of the air
And put them right in place

No need to waste the time in courts
May be innocence to see
Take the accused out in the morning
And hang them from the highest tree

Well Franklin, sarcasm works for me. Since we are now being tried by the media, we should fire all the lawyers and judges. Public opinion is free. Save those tax dollars:)
