Guilty- Or Not

Two choices

Was it worth losing him?

I needed to say three words and he would be where he belongs

Where they all go

Where they keep the monsters

But as I looked down at the picture of him I couldn't

I didn't know if he had played me

I didn't know if he manipulated me

What I did know is that I loved him

So I looked up at the police

And instead of saying ‘It was him’

I said ‘It was me’
