Guiding Words
When all my days have faded
Into someone else's memory,
Will they recall I loved the Lord,
And tried his messnger to be?
Conflicting messages assail
Their unsophisticated ears.
I search for words that will assure
You are still here, to sooth their fears.
Please give me the wise words, I pray
That will survive beyond my day
And guide them safely on their way.
