Guardian Angel

Angel looking at me
Let me tell you what I see
Purple orchids woven in to a flower ring
Dropped on a head of long white curly hair,
Gossamer wings,
Wrapped around a long sleeve gown of velveteen,
Blue eyes that envy the sky,
Lips the color of a light pink rose.
Innocence beyond belief.
Angel, why are you here?
Will you please whisper it in to my ear?
In a voice as light as air
I wanted to let you know I care,
And heard your plea.
Don't give up! Your dear to me
Right on down to your toes.
Remember this year after year.
Even when you shed your tears.
That I'll always be near.
