Guardian Angel
The dawn brought me back to reality
To the drain of humanity
This morning in the chilled dampened light
Came an angel to show me there is still right
Right in a world filled with pain
Right where theres never sunshine only rain.
Right where this morning, I first opened my eyes
My Guardian Angel showed me, made me realize.
That when there is one that can find light on the darkest day
That on a day filled with rain can find a single sun ray.
These people do exist, thanks to them
Each guardian angel helps a bright soul not to dim
Today I felt the presence and saw the one that looks over me
And what do you think it is that i see
Not a mystical creature with bright white wings
Not stars and smoke, none of those things.
What I saw was a human just like us
With a gold heart one you can trust
I saw humanity as it is suppose to be
And realized this one was sent just for me.
After battling so much always seeming that I lost,
And knowing exactly what it cost.
I can lay down tonite and rest my head
Knowing an angel watches as I sleep in bed
