Guardian Angel
I was only eight years old
When the angles came
And took my best friend away
At the time I didn't understand
Why she had to go
I guess they needed angels
Up in heaven
Through the years I felt
Her presence by my side
Perhaps she went to heaven
To be my guardian angel
When things had become rough
And I wanted to give up
A whispered voice in the wind
Told me, "I'm here with you"
I looked up to the sky
As a tear slid down my cheek
I'm thankful to have her
As my guardian angel
in loving memory of Tina Corey
