Growth

I once was that, but now I am this.
Not a phony or foul. I just exist.
Forever evolving, trying to find my place.
But never showing a plastic face.
I've never been, what others expected.
Even if you disagree, I want to be respected.
For I can only be me, in its present form.
I never wanted to be seen as norm.
I want to transcend, become my future self.
It goes beyond the material or worldly wealth.
I seek only a mind at ease, pure contentment.
Free of pride, anger or resentment.
