Grows the Night

Grows the night among turquoise twilight Nocturnal eyes glitter reflections Of pewter stones and silver rivers Ivory tongues lap at liquid air Grows the night a navy canopy Sparks dappled with ink-splattered fireflies Lulling agitated sun to sleep As the sprouting moonrise grows the night. 6/09/20

Like a delicious slice of cheesecake, dense and rich; you savor little bites, and too soon it's gone and you want another. I've read this five times and I want to finish typing this so I can read it again. Transcendent.
