Grows the Night
Grows the night among turquoise twilight
Nocturnal eyes glitter reflections
Of pewter stones and silver rivers
Ivory tongues lap at liquid air
Grows the night a navy canopy
Sparks dappled with ink-splattered fireflies
Lulling agitated sun to sleep
As the sprouting moonrise grows the night.
