Grown

Wondrous times we've merited
no longer feeling desolate
I'm feeling high-spirited
something I did acclimate
with conditions dreary
going to the doctor isolated
my nerves made me weary
now I'm quite elated
for I must be on my own feet standing
where independence is forced upon me
making me stronger and being
grown for all to see

Growing up means we take control of our actions and the way we behave. Probably self confidence might need boosting! Enjoyed this poem and the way you look at life. Regards // paul

Encouraging note of recovery and optimism here, I like the line 'when independence is forced upon me' - we all must stand on our own to grow!

A cheerful missive that made me smile. We all need to "feel high-spirited" if we can at this most trying time of isolation.
