Growing Up Too Fast

Growing Up Too Fast Ever wonder what happened to what used to be? The things we did when we were young and free Reminiscing and paging through old yearbooks Pointing fingers and laughing at old, embarrassing looks Missing the way things were back in the day so fresh and new…just starting out on our way Nothing ever puzzled us, we were youthful and energetic We enjoyed our days and life was a lot less hectic Standing in line, pushing and shoving…going out for recess Now a days, our lives pass day by day from one deadline to the next. God, Its so much stress! It seems we’ve all grown up too fast Sometimes, ignorantly overlooking our past Standing here at a new beginning, A young adult who’s just started living I hold a heavy heart, eager to learn, experience and see But not wanting to leave behind the childhood that created me
