Grow

Reluctant to stay in the same place I'm in today
A year from now
See I wanna grow like an oak tree
   Providing shade to lay in
Depending on know one trying to stay independent
Of outside interference
   Intended to take me back
To a place of darkness
To a place we're I thought less
Depending on everyone didn't wanna know
Success
So today I can say I have truly been blessed
Now my only mission from day to day is
   Success
See when I thought less I was on a road of
   Destruction
Started to think more
And put my life under reconstruction
Life gotta way of teaching you things
  You can't learn in class
Move slow now
Not trying to let life take me fast
See I was once without cars or cash
Had to earn everything I got in the process of
Becoming a man
Reluctant to stay in the same place I'm in today
A year from now
See I wanna grow tall like an oak
Creating shade
   To
Lay in
