Grook

He tells of how he bravely
fought the state's enemies
at the border quite lately.
Enemies would have conquered,
if not for his silent, courageous son.

Hello Teddy. Thanks for your participation in this contest. If I may add a word of advice, a grook typically aims to be universal, sort of like a wise saying, or something that makes you say, "A-ha! I get it!". I'm not sure exactly who the "he" in this poem is, or the courageous son. And so I'm unsure of what the message is ... Hope this helps! Keep writing, friend.

Hi Timothy. Thanks for making me understand more about grooks. I'll keep on practicing and reading them more! ;-)
