Grocery Poem Iv

No one is going to say it,
but your baby is ugly.

& how could I be the bad guy for saying so?

It’s an ugly world, too, where industrial
tile is stained with spilled Diet Coke

& beer cost less than frozen spinach.
but all the cashiers say ‘have a great day’
as they stare into the middle distance
