Memorable Epitaph Examples

"Grief must not be stifled; it must have tears, an outlet, a sigh, words."

I have not visited for a year,
oh, in truth your spirits are not here;
as E.E. Cummings wrote, "I carry you in my heart,"
here, there is a cold stone with your names now part.
You are buried, your bones decay, you are engraved;
and with deep grief- I am forever, ever enslaved.

Congratulations on your win in the contest. It is true, a headstone marks the spot, where your loved one was laid to rest, but their spirit and their memory lives within your heart. Blessings, Paulette

This brought tears to my eyes Constance. Especially because I had a dream last night that my husband was alive. I was hugging and kissing him and crying that I was so happy he didn’t die, so for a short time he was back with me. Congratulations on your wonderful third place win. Blessings xxoo

WOW!!! What a powerful write. I Love This and your Quote/picture. I know grief can enslave one. I have been there. I have often wondered if that is what the person would want for a life of a loved one. Guess one day my many questions will be answered. Have a very blessed day/week with hugs........................
