Grief

Grief
a state with no expiration
it will come, stay until it goes
how long, we don't know
Grief has no sell by date

i know you have heard this before, but time does heal all wounds. in my long life i have been hurt so many times, so many broken loves, until i met my wife in 1969 and we were married in 1970.. this was a very moving piece you wrote.

As you say so insightfully, grief "will stay until it goes," and sometimes it comes back when least expected. Quite a compelling poem! Love, Carolyn

So insightful, and real feelings revealed. So many of us have wounds that heal on the outside...never on the inside. Well written, Reena! ~ Carrie

Reena, good write, sad, but well-written! ..'It will stay until it goes' There's truth here, but the bottom line here is that it will go- it will pass. So hold on for tomorrow, OK? Peace and love, Audrey
