Gremlins In My Soupbowl

The past few days have been a nightmare with messages flashing up that poet has turned off commenting but from contact with poets off site I know that it is not the case. Admin have been in touch and I have sent them some screenshots of the message that I have been getting.

I'm having trouble leaving comments that I find frustrating Soup have kindly emailed me saying they are investigating Yesterday I tried leaving comments and a couple did get through Then that frightful message appeared that turned the air blue. I even wrote about it in a blog to throw light on the situation So you'd know I wasnt ignoring you that would'nt be my intention It happens on my tablet and even on my smartphone And from the comments I've read; I know I'm not alone. Russians, Chinese and aliens have all come to mind But realistically I'm pretty sure a gremlin they will find Though why this is happening? remains a dark mystery And its adding fuel to the fire of some dark conspiracy. I've made contact with some poets away from the site They too are in agreement that something is not right Ive added screenshots as proof so that you can all see I'm confident they'll find the problem and restore my sanity. Or maybe I'm in a nightmare and everyone has me blocked Thinking that I'm some sort of troll, well I'm truly shocked It certainly wasn't me that stole someone's verses of rhyme If that was the case soup would ban me for a long time. Written 4th August 2020.

Maybe it is time to renew your poetic licence and write a nice poem about Gremlins. Although it might be that they will give up trying to ruffle your feathers as you poetry still adds flavour to the soup. Regards David in NZ where we aim to be Gremlin free by Christmas.

Tom I wouldnt worry. It will soon be a part of the past. As they say "Patience brings knowledge" your patience will bring in their solution soon. Those Gremlins will be gone. Have a nice day my friend...

Hi Tom. Not long ago, I ran into the same thing happening. It was for one day and the following day it was back to normal. You handled this well and with humor to bring us a smile also. Thank you :)

What I like very much in your poetry and that is the human soul poet in you, is that you always rise above what might stain the beauty in you Tom.. Thank you very much Besma, I had some problems the past few days, it wouldnt let me write comments, it said poet has turned off commenting, which I knew was not the case, thankfully they have sorted out the problem because today so far no issues. Tom

Oh my, Tom, it sounds like I'd me mad as a hornet. I've posted poems, then they come out written different when I open my page, thank goodness I noticed and save the original. I always cut and paste to the website. Have to go back in and redo.. What ever is causing these mysterious problems I hope they fix it.

If you're a troll, Tom, then I'm a bag of chips. You are a true gentleman of Poetry Soup. The fact that you are complaining about your inability to leave OTHER people comments shows me how unselfish a person you are. I hope they fix the glitch before it drives you to the loony bin. How frustrating this must be! I'm sure the "conspiracy" theorists will have a field day trying to determine why this happened. This has happened to me a couple times in the past. No one would block your kind comments, Tom. Your creative turned these unfortunate circumstances into a delightful rhyme! Hope Soup fixes the problem soon. Hugs, Carolyn

Thank you Demetrios, I can answer comments on anything I put on but the problems start when I comment on someone else's poems. The odd comment I can leave but then the gremlins start playing up lol. Tom

Tom, I'm glad you're bringing this to the site's attention again. So far it seems there's been no fixin' of the glitch. I'm a freeloader according to Panagiota's terms yesterday, and she warned me, in no uncertain terms not to pay for a membership, so I have no plans to do that. I am sorry you and others are dealing with the problem.

Thanks, Tom. I still am scarred from this happening to me yesterday..and last week. I never know when the Russians attack me or the Chinese))). Certainly not the site, LOL And outside of you, nobody really cares! It's no motivation to write. Sorry...to the other poets who were attacked yesterday. Lost readers and Comnent points. I care and cared enough yesterday to leave you a comment, Panagiota, but it no longer appears on the poem you posted yesterday. Maybe there is more than one kind of Gremlin lurking in the kitchen.
