Greet the Day

I long to greet the day beside you, curled into the hollow of your spine; as sunlight tickles claws into the curtains, smile and beg the gods to make you mine. Breathe the sullen perfume of our love, haunting from the spider webs of night; freeze each precious moment in my heart, remember, hold you dear and hold you tight.

This was completely beautiful. The construction, the images are wonderful. And the raw sentiment was golden, the desire to belong, to have, to share. The simpleness was perfect, just right for the piece. just the small things are enough to make one whole. Gorgeous write.
