There was a big green worm on a leaf,
Whose body was so fat and stiff;
She could only crawl but not squirm,
Her silky skin was so soft and firm.
When a worm-eating black bird came,
She spoke bravely saying her name;
“I’m Pilar at your service”, she said
“An artist in the book… hope, you’ve read.”
The bird was so eager to eat her,
Saying, “You’re just good for my dinner”
But before he could finish mumbling,
Leaf had been trimmed fast, a fledgling!
Black bird hopped joyfully in tears,
Remembering his son so dear;
"Wow, my son's portray!'" So impressed,
You're talented caterpillar, so blessed."
"Thanks! Can we be friends?" Pilar replied
"Sure. You crawl at my back for a ride,"
The bird picked the art leaf with his beak
And flew down the bushes near the creak.
