Green On Green
Green
Oh Green, how no color can compare
It lies upon the mountain sides
Which, would otherwise lay bare
It props up pretty flowers
and supports them in the sun
It runs along my hot dog
with the yellow on my bun
It's the color of our money
That proves, what it is worth
And the color we give babies
some times before their birth
It's the top of every tree
It's the pride of every pickle
It's the moss beside a stream
where the water slows then trickles
It's the sea down in the tropic's
and in the eye's of Irish girls
And it lies below the foam
when a wave beings to curl
It's heather on a hill side
blazing forth in emerald green
The color of St. Patrick's
And Greatest Party ever seen
