Green Mile

The widest of eyes
Show more than just blue
The joy of surprise
When things are brand new

A beautiful style
Of receiving this world
But beyond your green mile
You’ll cease to twirl

You’ll say goodbye
To Peter Pan
Forgetting to fly
Let loose my hand

Santa won’t stop
Won’t even look twice
Once you’ve forgot
The three blind mice

But this moment of time
I breathe it all in
I’ll walk this fine line
Resisting harsh wind
I’ll balance, my dear
Again and again
As long as it holds
I’ll never give in

Ah, is it that time of your child's life when the truth of Santa might be revealed? I remember when my daughter had that moment, she asked me if she could still get the gifts from Santa anyway! We did give her "Santa" gifts but we told her that we could just increase the gifts from us? It wasn't until she was about 10 that she said we didn't have to say "Santa" on the presents anymore! It was a little hard for her to give up the idea of Santa! Anyway, awesome write my friend! Great Work!!
