Green

Green is the grass that grows in spring
The new leaves of the trees
And of course emeralds are green too…

What a lovely bounty this rustic scene
In the harvesting place where farmers glean
There people have planted corn and beans.

Pears are sweet straight from the trees
Granny smith apples and the best are yet;
The mint from the garden for jellies and tea
Mmm so delicious to me

I love the feel of soft green lace
On my sea spray gown
The crisp leaves of collards
Sprouting from the ground,
so springy is the feel of string beans ~

Oh, green can make you feel brand new,
Jealous green can get you in trouble too;
Most of all, green is the color of life so true.

Such lovely imagery especially the lines 'I love the feel of soft green lace On my sea spray gown' but do look out for being green with envy:-) Hugs Jan xx
