Green
Through the snow I saw one glimpse of green
Through the flakes, grass rarely uncovered, peeks past
Oh I miss you green! Like lovers torn apart at summers end.
This glimpse like a letter from her, reminding return
Green grows, transforms lively , revives me
Breathes to let us breathe
Resuscitates and invigorates
Encourages blossoms, birds singing return
Green is the color of her beautiful eyes
Stunning me, stopping me
It’s also the envy consuming
On he who which those green eyes are fixed
Green is the house I knew as a child
Running through the green fields laughing
Carelessly lounging under shade tree’s green leaves
Reading comics (Green Lantern) and such…
The shades and hues vary, so many
But reminded of life by each and every
No color more valued than one denied
Urgently waiting her sweet return
The glimpse through this snow reminds me…
How happy I feel when surrounded by green.
