Greed

A hunger like no other

A fevered pitch

That clutches like a searing iron

A unrecogniseable sign

Pushing for gain

No obstuction in view

A pathway leading to the door of wealth

Stepping on every foot

Pushing on every door

No one counted but you

A hunger that drove you to a depth of despair

Some say an admiral quality

Some say unrealistic expectation

It's all a matter of view

What greed will push you too.

Very true penned words. Too much greed, not enough love, real love for humankind. Thank you for sharing Phyllis. You may be interested in reading 'Peace Is Needed For Pete's Sake'. Sending smiles, Connie

"Unrealistic expectation." Yes! This, however, does not stop the greedy, eh? Congrats on the selection. LOve, daver

Hey, we think the same. I wrote on this too a while back but in sonnet form. Greed is truly the cause of most of our problems today!
