The Whiskey Taster’s Flavor Guide

Great Spirit Mother Earth

There was a time our mother earth spoke
Great words of wisdom in ancient times
A time when children were one with the Great Spirit

The children lite their fires on this great land
at one time; life was lived in simplicity
I felt in my heart, hardships were to come

Whether it be bad, sad or good
With certainty; times were going to change
To this day my elders had said these wise words.

As a society our memory is so tragically short. This reminds me of being a kid overhearing the adults poking fun at the people building homes next to the cottages. We are in a valley, the whole area is a flood plane- now all the whining to the government about why more isn't done to prevent it. Sigh. Great write! xomo

Thank you Maureen for your awesome comment. Sorry to hear that the whole area is like a flood plane- Sometimes I think that some of our politicians should do more for areas like that.
