Great Questions

Lest I forget the universe is revolving
And the earth is rotating around itself
Perhaps, we humans are still evolving

If not, when was a man but a tiny elf?
When did twenty-four hours a day make
And the earth start rotating around itself

How can news reports be honestly fake
Nothing quite as simple, though, as it seems
When did twenty-four hours a day make

Are those promises in my best schemes
Why are new ideas first placed on a shelf
Nothing quite as simple, though, as it seems

Is the universe really folding in upon itself
And the oceans devouring inhabitable land
Why are new ideas first placed on a shelf

Great questions flood in upon my mind
Lest I forget the universe is revolving
And I have so many answers to find
Perhaps, we humans are still evolving

Some evolve; others devolve... and the earth continues to revolve. Hope we continue to evolve; we've a ways to go. That's for sure. ~ gw

Yes, I think we do, GW. Definitely. But, I'd like to think you and I bring humanity a little further (or farther?) along the way. I never could get those two straight, and I'm too lazy this evening to look it up! Have a terrific coming weekend, friend.
