Great Is God's Steadfast Love - Psalm 103: 9-12
God is just being always right
never holding anything against anyone
in anger hates sin but not forever
for is gracious and forgiving in His son
This is a God full of perfect love
dealing not with our sin as He should
nor holding our iniquities against us
but sends His gospel to be understood
The Lord paints for us His picture
showing heaven so high above the earth
so those that have a real godly fear
will receive God's mercy at their second birth
Our sins God has removed forever
casting them as far from the east to the west
from us our sins have been put away
this mercy so we receive our heavenly guest
Great is God's steadfast love
only our Lord can give us enough
such grace and mercy from God alone
in Christ, our sins this saviour did atone
Psalm 109:9-12
(9. He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.
10 He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
11 For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.
12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.)
