Great Father

Great Father in heaven.
Why give us free will?
We’ve squandered it
And suffered for it.
Why, we have robots
Around now to control.
But they live better than
Us without their free will.

No dumb squabbles.
Robots just do their jobs.
Don’t need to hear the
Damaging daily gossip
Or to look out for the
Important bad news.
Or start wars just to
Steal weaker countries
Natural resources.
And sometimes even
The so called
‘peacemakers’ do these
things despite claiming
that they battle against
the corrupt.

Why have free will?
Because now that we’ve
Experienced it, we’ll
Never give it up.

Like the drowning man
Clutching unto his chest
Of golden treasure.
We’d rather die than let
Such a marvel be removed
From our hearts and minds.

Free will: The purpose of
The human race.

Free Will: The death of our
Very own dying race.
