Great Expectations
I opened the envelope
Great expectations
I remember those Christmas gifts
Knitted socks again
I wrapped in a gift
Expected a good laught
Now I rarely see contrails in the sky
Miss paper envelopes in the mail box
Wear knitted socks
Wishing I always will have
Expectations
