Great Escape
Gorging on the splendour of your body slowly waking,
recalling your silhouette in the midnight hour.
Embers of twilight’s essence softly envelope me,
as the morning sun kisses with a gossamer plea,
tempting the senses to compete; real life or heaven’s retreat?
Evading life’s burdens with you by my side –
society’s nibbles, sworn enemies, and snides –
calmness prevails, forgetting all that’s acidic
and I’m utterly absorbed by your enthralling aura,
perpetuating pleasure no mortal could ever stop.
Every second of you, divine, great beloved of mine.
