Gray Skies
There it was, skies so gray
Oh how I wish to see the sun
For much joy it brings me in the day
That I might choose to run
And in these days of the dark cloud
I seem to find light
But only to be covered up by the looming shroud
Thus I muster up my might
And return to the days of the sun-lit skies
As the shadow of darkness is no more
For this I am reassured as the eagle flies
So by this, sadness strikes my core
For the dark days opened my heart’s gate
And this I value more than love and hate
