Gray Area
I live in the gray area
Where there exists no right from wrong
Only observation, absorption
The vain attempts to make something profound
Of the myriad of opinions shoved in your face
To contribute something to a society
Charged with opposing views
A society that doesn’t care enough
Doesn’t slow down enough
Doesn’t stop arguing enough
To let those in the gray develop for themselves
I live in the gray area
Where you stand in a confused torrent
Of emotions bleeding into facts
Biases convulsing into a beast
That cannot be comprehended
The beast that corrals you deeper into the gray
I live in the gray area
And I float as an incomplete, opinion-less individual
Unable to comprehend the complexities of belief
