Gray
Gray skies overtaken by black
Aimless pursuit of purpose
Why bother to look back
When nothing matters to assure us.
In our life the question arises
Of value and reason for being
And to some the answer surprises
Them for what they all are seeking.
A better life? More of one thing or another?
Abolish strife, trade conflict for peace with each other?
Save the environment, rescue something
It's all benevolent , ego feeding.
This shining jewel given to mankind today
It all turns gray one day
Darker shades of gray
Then it fades to black , decays
And fades away.
