Graveyards are beautiful to me,
oh, those trees so filigree,
those beautiful statues so eternally divine.
Since a child I have gone to see,
graves in rows like waves in the sea.
And as I ponder- I gather inspiration sublime,
inside me words twine,
and in time rhyme.
Today, I go with a bright red rose,
oh, when he died- I froze,
I lay my red rose but the wind takes it away.
I follow it amongst the rows,
past all those who quietly repose.
Then, I start to wander in that sea of gray,
and words I pray,
for those in decay.
