Gratitude Heals
After a long quest for my child
Lost on a mountainside in the rain,
My faith deliberately tested and re-tested
When torment of dire anticipation gripped -
'Til bright of sunrise found him beneath moss.
That now, each moment tilts back solemnly,
And through the prism of petition
Flowing through time’s final intervention -
My soul feels cleansed by God’s grace
When polished dawn of relief bursts
And all I could utter is “ thank you, thank you,”
My gratitude holding me steadfast each day.
