Gratitude Begins

I am grateful. I am lucky. I do the work. I am grateful, even though I don’t always have fun I am grateful, even though I wait for the longest minutes of my life to pass I am grateful, for today I had no major failures, I was safe, and I was successful I am grateful, because my moments of success were not accompanied by total moments of dread I am grateful, because in my heart I feel and I believe I can write I am grateful, because when all else fails, I can do this
