Gratitude

Giving thanks every day
Receiving grace the old-fashioned way,
And pondering how lucky I am
That Jesus came as a little lamb
Instead of a chastening rod;
That this path I have trod,
Unusually rough and perilously steep,
Delivers me safely
Ever closer to blessed serenity.

I think this is ever so important a point "That Jesus came as a little lamb Instead of a chastening rod" I really do!

Thanks, Caren. I certainly do, too. Otherwise, I'd have gotten beaten to death early on. I was scarcely worth saving, but Jesus thought I was.

We should all be grateful for all the God-given gifts that surround us every day.

Yes, we should, Shirley, but I'm afraid many of us go day by day without thinking of the gratitude we owe for life, health, and successful achievements.
