Grass Roots
We nurture shrubs and flowers
to brighten up our days
and set out all the colours
in beautiful arrays,
we're full of admiration
for the trees, grown from a seed,
but what we cultivate the most
is just a commen weed,
usually it's green
except when there's a drought,
it's also what most sports today
cannot do without,
it typifies the country side
more than fields of corn,
but when it's grown in a town
it's called a garden lawn.
