Grapes I'D Rather

I just got through viewing The "Hot New Poems List" With the names of those I know and some I guessed I've missed I breezed right though the first five Then, right straight down to ten and new there'd be no need To ever check, that high again Then, Flying though the twenties Perhaps, the thirties I would place Even in the forties would be a saving grace Perhaps the Soup was careless For sure they are mistaken Not every poem I have written 'till now, could be forsaken Then, there were the sixties and the seventies, AGAIN ! You'd think between lines they, could s-w-eeeeeze my poem in The eighties saw no hope The nineties were amiss You'd think that I'd be sad Or just a little pissed But I'll just keep on trying 'Cause, you can never tell But, the truth is that I'm Happy to see my friends all doing well I want to especially Congratulate my friend and yours Jan Alison for making the Top of the list "Not bad, for a girl that writes "Pooh" eh........ Lol

Chrisy, You could be next ! Just don't set your sights to high, like me at #38, I suspect your first write to only make the single digits, like maybe 7th or 8th place......but never stop trying LOL

Oh Jerry this is marvelous news ... not only POTD but you are in at #39 in the best new poems list:-):-) The 'collaboration' is still top of the list - it is in no way a BEST' poem just popular as I guess it will have been favourited by many of the people who contributed to it. I hope soup change the name from 'best' to current trending or something like that:-) hugs Jan xxx

Oh Jerry I had to smile at your lovely comment - please join in the collaboration I am still putting poems up when they are received - the first place is shared by all of those who wrote follow on poems to my at the footbridge limerick - i was merely the catalyst there are many to share the honour:-) the new list is MUCH fairer as it was totally monopolised by a few names and it was a bit of a joke when one person had 40 plus poems on there at one time:-( hugs jan xx
